Template:Sketch Kushinagar (also known as Kusinagar, Kusinara, Kasia and Kasia Bazar) is the name of town in northern India where the Buddhists believe that Gautama Buddha passed into Parinirvana.

The town is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site. Many Buddhists, especially from Asian countries, consider it auspicious to visit this place at least once in their lifetime.

The town is located in the Kushinagar district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, 52 km east of Gorakhpur city.
