84000: Translating the Words of the Buddha, also known as 84000, is a Buddhist translation group that focuses on translating Buddhist texts from classical Buddhist languges into modern languages. Their current focus is on translating the Kangyur and Tengyur from classical Tibetan into modern English. The name comes from the 84,000 methods Buddha is said to have taught as a way to attein true peace and freedom from suffering. From the 84000 vision page:[1]
